Kevin M. Hoffer   hofferk@commonwealth-strategies.com
Kevin is a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads, currently residing in Yorktown, Virginia. Kevin holds a bachelors degree in Political Science from Hampden-Sydney College where his thesis dealt with Virginia Politics—particularly gubernatorial elections. While attending Hampden-Sydney, Kevin served as the President of the College Democrats for three years, and helped to organize campaign assistance for several local area races, to include Travis Harris for Sheriff of Prince Edward County. Kevin’s experience with grassroots organization was demonstrated most aptly in 2001 when he served as the Personal Campaign Assistant to John Miller’s House of Delegates campaign. In 2007, Kevin was a Senior Campaign Advisor to John Miller’s successful bid for the State Senate of the 1st District of Virginia. Besides Kevin’s vast familiarity with outreach programs, campaign event coordination, and media strategy, Kevin served on Joe Frank’s, Mayor of Newport News, Commission on Youth. From 2002-2006, Kevin was Public speaking Specialist at Hampden-Sydney’s Public Speaking Center, where his duties included helping to craft speeches and edit for fluency.

John is a Native of Newport News, Virginia and is a lifelong resident of the Hampton Roads area. John holds a bachelors degree in Political Science and a minor in Public Service from Hampden-Sydney College. Recently, John received his Masters of Arts Degree in History and Governmental Education from Christopher Newport University. Right now, John is an employee of Newport News Public Schools where he teaches Civics, History, and Classical Leadership in the Modern Age. From 2002-2007 John worked for the United Service Organizations of Hampton Roads (USOHR) as Director of Development and Communications Specialist. At the USOHR, John was heavily involved with speech writing and delivery, grant writing and research, and was the deputy to the Vice-President for Business and Operations. Likewise in 2004, John worked for the United States Congress—specifically for Congressman Doug Ose (R-California 3rd Congressional District). John brings vast knowledge in speech writing and development strategies to the table, as he has been involved with both nonprofit and governmental agencies for the last eight years. In 2003, John was tasked by then President of the USO of Hampton Roads, Jeff Hill, to deliver a speech on behalf of the USOHR at the dedication of Route 288 as the WWII Memorial Highway and Bridge. During this dedication, John was successful in working with the developers to secure a $15,000 donation for the Hampton Roads Military men and women. Finally, John is involved with trying to stop Child Abuse throughout Virginia, and, in 2006 and 2007, he was the Keynote Speaker and Master of Ceremonies for the Hampton Child Protective League Celebrity Luncheon.

Currently residing in Farmville, Virginia, Brandon is a native of Newport News, Virginia. Brandon has a bachelors degree in Political Science and History from Hampden-Sydney College. Likewise, Brandon has done some postgraduate work at the University of Virginia and studied at Saint Anne’s College at the Oxford University in Oxford, United Kingdom. Brandon is certified in executing Virginia Public Policy and also has studied, in depth, the direction of public service throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia at the Sorensen Institute. Throughout the last few years, Brandon has held numerous positions of leadership in his community, and, as of now, sits on the board of Jaycee’s in Farmville, Virginia. Brandon is well versed in graphic design including campaign websites, postcards, t-shirts, and other campaign materials. Presently, Brandon is a Leadership Associate for one of the nations largest banks.
